Paris

The area that we are staying in here is quite a way out, but as the Paris metro system is so wonderful and easy, it does not take us long to get anywhere. A great benefit having the metro on our street!. Today we have walked and walked and walked. We started by getting the metro to the Bastille area, and had a look around all the wondeful small sides streets with their cafes, bakeries and boutiques. I've loved the selection in the bakeries, the wonderful cakes of all varieties, pasties and lunch time snacks. Completley stuffed myself on all these little treats, as we were walking.
From the Bastille area we slowly found our way to Notre Dame, a lovely walk, and the weather was fresh and sunny. We walked around the church (and completly ignored all the overpriced shops and cafes) and decided to walk back to our hotel.
A good plan and we thought that we could do it, but it only being our 1st ful day in Paris our orinitation was not up to scratch. After a long time we made it almost halfway there, then got lost and ended back at Bastille!. By then we were exausted and decided to cop out and get the metro. Reception still have not found a plug for me, so another bath with a plastic cup in the hole for me tonight!.
