Pakistan. Peshawar

More lazy, but wonderful days after the Khyber pass.
Yesterday, the owner of the hotel that we are staying in took Maurice and I to a place around 25 miles out of the city.
We drove over the Kabul river, and found some great fresh fish restaurants.
We sat in one and ate and ate and ate. The fish was so well cooked and absolutely delicious.
It felt like a real Sunday outing, a nice drive into the country and a good lunch and back to the hotel to rest!.
On the way back, we stopped to take a picture of one of the road guards, who had the most fantastic beard I have ever seen. He looked great, a long back jacket on, green trousers big high boots and big silver and stone rings on each finger..and this amazing beard. He looked like a character out of something, but for the life of me I cant think what!.
Today we will start to look for somewhere else to go. We have heard so much about the North and it feels such a shame not to go there, despite the temperature, so we may head up that a way. If not it will be back to Lahore.

Hope you are all ok
